Which refractory material are used for lining of cement rotary kiln? Because of the different structures of individual kiln, the types of refractory materials used are different also.

The refractory material used in the cement rotary kiln needs to have the following characteristics: excellent high temperature resistance and wear resistance, stable chemical properties, resistance to corrosion of chemical substances in the flue gas, stability against thermal shock resistance, and low porosity. When the refractory material can meet  these requirements, it can be better used in the cement rotary kiln.

The front inlet lining of cement rotary kiln is one of the weaker parts. During the operation of the rotary kiln, the operating cycle of the  front kiln strictly limits the life of the kiln. The kiln lining  construction project is complicated, and the corundum wear-resistant castables are generally used for pouring construction. Corundum wear-resistant castables have excellent wear resistance, chemical  corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance, high refractoriness and easy construction. Its excellent characteristics are very helpful for  prolonging the service life of the kiln. According to the survey, the  average operating life of the parts using the corundum wear-resistant castables is more than 8 months.

The cooling zone and the decomposition zone of the cement rotary kiln are all made of silica mullite bricks; the pre-tropical zone uses anti-stripping high-aluminum  brick; the firing zone uses mafic iron spinel brick; the transition zone uses magnesia-aluminum spinel brick; For the cooling zone and the lower transition zone of the dry cement kiln, you can choose to use silica  mullite brick or HMS high wear-resistant brick.

In the traditional rotary kiln, the temperature at the tail of the small kiln is generally lower than 1000°C, and even more can reach 700°C; the  temperature at the end of the large kiln can be as high as 1100°C, and the kiln tail generally does not appear crust phenomenon. For rotary kiln with high alkali content or high sulfur content, the alkali and  sulfur, chlorine and other components are repeatedly evaporated and aggregated, and the minerals with crust characteristics are attached to the kiln lining, which greatly affects the kiln. The operation of the  furnace. Through our continuous attempts in recent years, the rotary kiln will be improved after using steel fiber wear-resistant castable or high-aluminum wear-resistant castable.
